Stopped by the Stockpot on a busy Saturday morning, the wait was roughly 15 minutes when they estimated 30. They sat us upstairs, upon sitting I noticed how cold it was. They have a mini split running up there but it was definitely colder than was needed and I run hot! The service was ok, nothing over the top, just adequate. The food was tasty, I had the French toast and a MTO biscuit. It came out a little slow, but they were busy.

A couple months ago I went to the Stockpot location in VA Beach, so when in Norfolk and walking by this one I stopped in. I was taken care of by the chef and she was very helpful with the menu. They have so many appetizing options on their mostly healthy, all fresh menu. I love soup, so I love that they offer several each day, with some standards, plus a soup of the day, which on the day I visited was cream of potato. Where I sat at the counter, I could watch them making all the food and I was impressed to see that they don’t just ladle soup into a bowl to serve it, they actually cook and prepare, then dress it to plate it perfectly. Their cream of potato was really good and not the traditionally made where the potato is pureed into the soup – rather they make a creamy soup base and then add potatoes to it. The combo of the soup, a small piece of potato, scallion, and a small piece of bacon really made for a great spoonful in each spoonful I enjoyed!! My coworker got their Asian Chicken Noodle and that looked amazing! He said it was incredible. Next up was the entrΓ©e and we both got their lamb gyro…. It’s not the traditional gyro, it’s an openfaced style, just like their c

I ordered the Southern Pimento & Pork Belly and the Hawaiian Pork & Pineapple for Toastie Tuesday, and unfortunately, both were disappointing. Everything had a noticeable bitter taste and unpleasant aftertaste. The Hawaiian Pork & Pineapple, in particular, should’ve had a bit of sweetness from the pineapple, but instead it tasted burnt and bitter. The filling also seemed overmixed and under-seasoned. (This was mentioned to the waitress and she just said she will let her supervisor know.) Service-wise, the staff were friendly, but it took quite a while for us to receive our food and even longer to get the check. Also worth noting: there’s no dedicated bathroom since The Stockpot Norfolk is located inside Selden Market. Overall, food felt overpriced for the quality, I don’t see myself coming back.

My second time back at the stockpot. The first time we came for brunch but I had to return for a ramen Monday. It was so good! Can’t wait to go back again. I thought the everything bagel seasoning popcorn was a fun treat.

Thank God for Mattie our waitress at the counter. She was so amazing. I had not realized that I had not taken in enough calories and was going down for the count by the time I got to her. She swiftly moved into action and got me an apple juice and made sure that our order was placed. Swiftly eggs came out delicious bread biscuit came out delicious everything was amazing and my day was safe thanks to Maddie. 06/23/2026 the same thing happened. Once again the staff moved quickly, this time it was really bad. I was very impressed with the level of professionalism. To be diabetic and have an episode people are sometimes mistaken for being high or drunk. Often turned away or mistreated. This restaurant goes above and beyond.
